I thought of that too but the birth record and death records both state his name was Kugo. I'm sure there is a possibility it may have been Hugo and misspelled twice, but it just seems unlikely due to the fact it was done twice.

Thought I would ask the question anyway. Thanks for the answer! I think for the moment I am going to keep Kugo as the name on the family tree and I will try and find more records for him under the name Hugo and see what comes up.
