[Opinions] Re: I just recently found out I'm having triplets, and...
"putting your children through that" with names like Forest & Rainbow, putting them through what exactly teasing? I don't see them being teased that much for names such as that [I am considering both names for my future kids :)] I have been teased for my own name, but I feel kids will grow out of it evenutally. To each their own though :).Jackson

Please don't be bitter about what I said about "Rainbow" and "Forest"... I didn't mean for it to be offensive. It's just my opinion, and I'm a little peeved that you got a bit rude about it.Jackson - Love it, but my cousin used it on her child :(
Caden - We were going with this until my husband's ex-wife
Wyatt - Not my style..Savannah - Cute!
Ruby - Like it, wouldn't use it.
Susannah - Prefer SavannahAddison - Too feminine
Avery - Cute! It's my cousin's middle name.
Charlotte - Love it!
Nancy - Too old-fashioned, in my opinion.
Anne Marie - Lovely.
Norman - Not my style.
Peter - Not my style.
Hermione - I can hear the Harry Potter jokes now.
Caspian - Cute! It reminds me of Jasper, which I love.

I didn't mean to sound snarky, I just wasn't quite sure when you said "put them through that" I assumed teasing. :).It's not a huge deal, I just get kind of sad/irritated that people think my kids will be tortured, and I'm nots for using names like that, LOL. Congrats by the way. Maybe you'd also love these [just to let you know Charlotte is my first future daugthers name :)]:Some others on my list:
Iris
Ivy
Hayden - boy (like on a girl as well)
Hunter - girl
Tobias - mn
Elijah - mn
Eden - mn
Michael
Barrett - mn
Agnes - mn

I'm sorry, I got a bit heated during that. Lol I don't think your kids will necessarily be tortured, but with any name (even with something as simple as Anne), teasing is to be insued. "Antsy Anne" or other silly things will come along.I love these;
Iris
Ivy
Hunter - (on a boy)

It's a valid concern. She may not have worded it in the best way possible, but kids do get teased for having different names. In a class full of Emmas, Emilys and Isabellas - little Rainbow would feel a bit odd.Completely my opinion, i know. But All she was saying was that she liked more popular and less "out there" names.Oh, and i don't see Susannah as weird. Probably because that's my sisters name......

Rainbow might be teased with "hippie"

Your right they can get teased for having unusual or different names, (I was one, lol). I just think she could have worded it better. :).I don't think Susannah is weird either, did she ask for more unusal names or just anything?

Sorry. I thought the first list was your examples of names that you thought she'd think were weird. Oops.

I'm sorry for the way I worded it. I'm not a fan of 'trendy' names, or of names like Apple, Rainbow, Rain...I'm game for anything, but I even got teased with the name Rebecca. I don't want any of my kids to look at me and be like, "You named me ----?! What the heck were you thinking, mom?!"
