You Think: And meet my daughter, Town Hall. Or maybe Condo, Condi for short?

This is my daugther Neverending.
You Say: Hello, Neverending.
You Think: I barely pulled off saying that sentence with a straight face...this name will lose its charm when she is fourteen and racking up your phone bills with Neverending conversations.
This is my daugther Excalibur.
You Say: Hey, Excalibur.
You Think: I guess if she really hated it she could go by Callie...It's sad that the first thing that struck me about this name was "That's not a girl's name, it's way too boyish. Honestly, Madison, Ashley, Elliot, Excalibur, will it never end!" Oy. One track mind.

You Think: Actually, I like it a lot, I think it's fun. I'd prefer it as a NN.

You Think: That's taking place names to a whole new level.

You Think: So I do, in that it sounds a lot more name-y than the others and is actually quite pretty. (It reminds me of Galia, too.) But it's also wicked religious for my taste. Just kind of...in your face.

You Think: Feminist hippie overload! Red alert! All hands on deck!

You Say: Hey, Hanako. That's a lovely name.
You Think: I hope she's part- or fully Asian, otherwise it just seems like part of the fantasy-Asia obsession (anime craze et al) that I see everywhere...meh. It is a pretty name, though.
This is my daugther Gethsemane.
You Say: Hello, Gethsemene. Do you have a nickname?
You Think: Pushy, a lot more so than Galilee, and not at all pretty as a name, either (and so long). I feel like if I befriended Gethsemene, she'd start dragging me to church and trying to convince me to go to Love in Action or HA.
