I've never really liked April, although I do like Avril. (Although after the advent of Avril Lavigne, I've liked it less).
My dislike of April had to do with a girl I knew with that name. I think, without my personal associations, it isn't bad. I wouldn't use it, but I wouldn't mind it on someone else.
