Hmm. It has the overwhelming association of Aunt Hilda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch for me. I don't think I like it overmuch, but I think it could work on a kid, a teenager and an adult so it's a good name and I'd quite like to meet one. I think of the full names you mentioned I like Hildegarde best. There's also Brunhilde, but that kinda cracks me up coz of Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Anyway!
