[Opinions] Re: Victorine
Wow. As I was just saying to VickyBliss in my thread yesterday about the name Lynn, Victorine may be making something of a mini-comeback.I'm reading "The Judgement of Paris," by Ross King. It's about the French Impressionist movement and the resistance of the Parisian artistic establishment. I highly recommend it. Anyway, Manet's favorite model was named Victorine. The name has been echoing in my brain for days. And now two other namenerds have mentioned her. I'd love to see the name get some recognition. I know it will never make the top 100 or anything like that. It's just nice to see it dusted off once in a while. It has a wonderful romantic quality to it.OK. So now to the task at hand.
