I agree, it makes me think of the poem by Coleridge:
"In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree..."
I used to live near an exotic dancing/stripper bar named the Pleasure Dome, after this poem, so to me Xanadu sounds like a stripper name.
