Leanna is from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Her teen mother tried to raise her, but lacked the financial resources to do so. She would like to remain in contact with her via letters. Leanna likes Disney princesses, especially Cinderella; playing with Barbies; playing dress-up; and generally being a 4-year-old girl. She has started to learn her alphabet and loves having stories read to her. Her mother is a nondenominational Christian and requests that her daughter be allowed to attend Sunday school weekly. Leanna has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Jessika is from Lubbock, Texas. She is a paraplegic, and her family did not want to take care of her anymore. They want no contact with her. She has no other disabilities and will only require a change of wheelchair as she gets older. She is a very intelligent little girl who can already read. She loves to play with animals, especially cats, and she talks about being a teacher when she grows up. She has an older sister, Monika, who wishes to write her letters, even though her parents do not want anything to do with her. She loves going to church and reading Bible stories. Jessika has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Kevin is a toddler from Natick, Massachusetts. His mother was arrested for dealing cocaine. He has some mild developmental disabilities because his mother did drugs while pregnant with him. He loves to play with blocks and put simple puzzles together. He requires patience; if he cannot figure out a task, he becomes frustrated and is prone to temper tantrums. He has black hair and blue eyes.
Cailee is an infant from Bethesda, Maryland. Little is known about her. She is from a teen pregnancy and has no known disabilities. Her eyes are brown.
