It's still too dated and has too much negative personality clinging to it, for me. Its time may come again, but right now seems really more of a
Francis time. I considered Francis/Frank/Frankie seriously for my son because it's in my family. But although I think
Frankie is cheery, everyone I talked to had comic or somehow negative stereotypes of it. And my husband wouldn't go for
Francis because it sounds too much like
Frances. So... nay on
Frank for me. I think it's a fine name, just needs the right person to carry it off I'd guess.
