--DD: Felicia Jane (7)Matt became a flying instructor at an Air Force Academy last year and has retired from active duty. Rosie is happy about that since it means he'll no longer be flying dangerous missions and whatnot. Their eldest, Emily, is going to college in Germany and is studying international business. Sophia is in her freshman year of college. She wants to be a linguist and is double majoring in Spanish and Linguistic Studies. Jeremy is still in high school, but is thinking about joining the Marines.
Amber and Eddie are also doing all right. Eddie burned his hand badly last summer while working on a car. He has been on disability for the past few months, but isn't sure he'll be able to return to work anytime soon. Stella and Felipe are growing up fast. Stella is in high school already, and Felipe is not far behind.
Joey and Jennie had a son three years and a third daughter just recently. Laurie and Lisa like the new additions to the family.
Emma and Samuel's family has changed the most drastically in the past five years. Their eldest son Noah entered the Air Force when he was eighteen. He married a girl named Nora last year and the two of them will be parents any day now. Ryan and Riley are doing well on their own. Ryan enjoys being a single father. He went to the police academy after graduating and works as a police officer. He leaves Riley with his grandparents when he has to work long shifts--otherwise he goes to the daycare. Jenny and Liam are growing up fast and are starting to think about their futures. Violet was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago and passed away last year. Jake was extraordinarly upset by her death and was diagnosed with major depression. He is currently on medications, but they don't seem to be working yet.
Alice and Cliff's family has been through similar devastation. Their daughter Lottie was going to the movies with a friend two years ago when her friend's car was T-boned by a tractor trailer. Alice and Cliff rushed to the hospital, but it was too late. The entire family has been attending therapy together and they are making slow progress. Katie is worried now because she'll be ten soon, and both her sister and her cousin died when they were ten. Alice assures her that everything will be okay, but Katie isn't sure what to believe.
Sara and Carl had a daughter four years ago and are hoping to have another baby soon.
Elena's status in life hasn't changed a whole lot. She has made some gains in therapy, but not enough to make a huge difference. She is content with her life, however, and Wil and Bekah like to see her happy.
Jason and Mari are still together, though their marriage has been a little rocky for the past few years. Jason is contemplating retiring from playing hockey, but loves the game too much to stop now. They had a fifth boy three years ago. Mari still hopes for a daughter, but doesn't know that that wish will come true.
Alan and Martha Ann have one year old twin girls to take care of now. Their son, Shawn, isn't sure about having two sisters at the same time, but he's getting used to it.
Mary and Tim are scraping by on Mary's secretarial salary. Tim is still hoping to be an author, but Mary is pushing him to get a job as a newspaper journalist somewhere so he can both write and take pictures. Their daughter Felicia Jane is a flighty little thing.
