Well, I like the name Julia, because I think it's old-fashioned, but can fit perfectly into the modern crowd, lively, and a pretty-sounding and looking name.
And it's my name, so that may contribute to why I like it. :P I like my name.
I don't like Julian that much for a boy (or girl) either.
What about Juliet? Juliette? Julie?
