[Opinions] Re: Celeb BA

So his daughter's name should fit the public image he sells of himself, and she is born into her father's shadow? Ugh... the problem with celebrities using transgressive names is, they don't come off as transgressive. They come off as image accessories, vanities.
The etymology of the word bandit is kind of interesting. I have to wonder if the guy even knows what it is. A childhood friend of mine had a shaggy little hyperactive mutt named Bandit, and it was perfect.

As a big My Chemical Romance fan, I'm going to say with almost perfect certainty that he knows exactly what it means and its history. I had to look it up, but he is an artist and writer who is mad crazy about outlaws and crimes and religious history and old languages. He would know about the "killed on sight," "outside the law," "allowance to rob, injure, or kill without consequence" and "wanted dead or alive" stuff.
Bandit's parents are both artists. It would have been much more awkward for her name to have been Sarah or Olivia.
I don't think they're trying to make her be an extension of them as much as they know it is nearly inevitable that she will be. She'll grow up in a house with an art studio and a music studio and parents that write and paint and draw and sing and play. She's bound to be artistic so regardless of if she wants to be an attorney when she grows up, Bandit will always be a tie to where she came from and who she is. If nothing else, her middle name is a tie to her great-grandmother who was a very good woman (at least according to the Way brothers) so that's a name to be proud of.
