I prefer
Nichol Magnus. But, if you love it, you should use it as a first name.
I have a baby boy due in
April and we are going with
Magnus. I do get some strange looks, but the positive feedback on the board is encouraging. I do think the name is gaining in popularity or at least familiarity. I posted about
Magnus back in the summer and the responses were definately more mixed. Maybe
Will Ferrel naming his son
Magnus has put it more in the limelight.
At any rate, yeah for
Magnus.
I also do not see the name as something to live up to. My son is already "great" in my eyes, no matter how he turns out. He will always be the "great one" in our hearts.
So, there are my two cents for what it's worth. :-)
