I'm with you. I like
Araceli and its meaning too. What's wrong with
Celia? It doesn't have to be a short form of
Cecilia; it's a name in its own right and has a lovely meaning ("heaven"). Now
Cecilia, otoh, DOES have an unfortunate meaning and I'd never go there.
I've considered
Celia myself. I recently read a book where the main female character was named
Celia and it suited her so well that it made me really love the name.
I have seen Aracelia before and while I like it, there's something about
Araceli that seems sweeter and less fussy.
