I like the look of Faolan, but it doesn't have intuitive pronunciation for Americans. I also like Faelan quite a bit (and Caelan). I don't think it sounds like "failin'" or "failing" because the L is definitely attached to the second syllable when I say Faelan, and when I say Failing it's attached to the first.
