I think that using same initial names that are clearly distinct from eachother is okay for twins. However, I can't stand rhyming names and I don't think twins appreciate it either b/c everbody needs some indivuality. Names can be distinct from eachother but also sound harmonious. For example, you wouldn't want to name your twin daughters
Margaret and
Sierra b/c they don't go together at all. However, twins named
Margaret and
Elizabeth may sound better or twins named
Sierra and
Skye.
Another thing that I don't think you should do when naming twins is giving one twin unisex name and another one a distinctly feminine or male name. For example, naming twin girls
Isabella and
Riley.
