I love that name. It is in my family under the spelling Layah and Laiah (way before the fashion of strangely written names like Shaylissee lol), as a variation of Lea / Leah.
The oldest (written Layah) was born around 975 AD and the youngest (Laiah) in 1832. If you need more info, tell me. :)
The other spellings I know are Laia, Laja and Laya.
I also like Leia, because I'm a Star Wars fan lol
