I knew a Gita once, same pronunciation. I think that's how she spelled it. She was from India. The sound is OK. I have no other associations for it and it strikes me as random sounds put together.
Using the spelling Gytta doesn't improve it for me. It looks more like "GIT-uh" to me. It strikes me as a headache of a name.
Is it Scandinavian? Is it from somewhere else, or made up? Just curious?
