Well, how I would pronounce it totally depends on where I am.
I live in the Basque Country, but used to live in Spain, and I'm Canadian. So if I met an
Alicia here, I'd say "a-LEE-thiya". If I were in Canada, my instinct is to say "a-LEE-see-a" but I know more "a-LEE-sha"s with the spelling
Alicia than I do "a-LEE-see-a"s but "a-LEE-see-a" comes to my mind first.

Alicia is fairly common in Canada for girls (peaked in the US in the '80s) in their teens and 20s. It peaked in Spain in the '70s and is pretty common here, too. I do think it's dated, but I know a baby
