I'm not fond of
Shawna or
Shauna. I almost always dislike girls names when they sound too similar to the boys name they are the female version of.
Shawna /
Shauna is one of those names, it just screams
Shawn /
Shaun.
I prefer
Mildred to
Shawna.
Shawna is very dated but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It makes me think of iconic 70's things and that is not a bad association.
I've met a few
Shawna's before but they were all born around the 70's.
I think I personally prefer the spelling
Shauna over
Shawna. Seana is odd, I'm not certain how I feel about it. It doesn't remind me of the 70's like the other spellings do.
The thing I dislike the most about
Shawna is like I said, it just feels like
Shawn with an A thrown on at the last moment.
