The name itself is very nice, and she was one of my favorite "Disney Princesses" while I was growing up. However, what kept me from considering the name so long were quite a few bad associations I had growing up (mainly very rude classmates). In real life, I haven't encountered any spellings besides the standard
Jasmine and slightly shorter
Jasmin, to be honest.
I don't like
Yasmine as much because I'm pretty sure that's a Bratz doll...
