2. Edgar Armand, Edgar Francis, Edgar Byron... Depends on your taste in names, I guess.
3. I think it stands out a little bit because it's not so popular. A baby Edgar born today wouldn't meet a lot of other Edgar of his age, which can be both a good or a bad thing. I personally think it's a good thing, because a name like that is not too forgettable, and it would age well.
