I wouldn't want to be named Ramona and I wouldn't give it as a name, but I think it's great fun anyway. The Ramona Quimby association is very strong, to the exclusion of just about any other association, I would say.
My husband calls our daughter Valerie "Sweet Ramona" for fun. He has no idea where he got the idea from, it just took hold when she was still a very small baby. He did say once that Sweet Ramona sounded like an old-fashioned country-western song to him.
Other name off the top of my head that have the same vibe of "I wouldn't use it but they're fun" are Carlotta and Yolanda.
