I can't believe I didn't think of Matilda! It's definitely at the top of my list now.
A friend also let me in on the Alvin, Simon and Theodore thing (I hadn't heard of them since I was a kid), so I'm leaning toward Oliver right now, and considering still considering Malcolm if my husband doesn't warm up to Matilda.
