Honestly? My first response was, "Ew, yuck!" Sorry, but
Maegan's just a butchered spelling of
Megan to me. And imo
Megan should
only be spelled
Megan (and pr. MEG-an, although I'd accept
Megan pr. MAY-gan before
Maegan pr. MAY-gan).
You could also use Meegan (MEE-gan), which is actually a transference of an Irish surname (
http://snipurl.com/oc0m).
P.S. While I'm on this semi-rant (again, sorry!), I should note that
Meghan is in no way, shape, or form an Irish name. It's a faux-Irish misspelling of a Welsh name.
