[Opinions] Re: New Names for Italian Babies
Allegra feels more like "joyous" than happy. It's an old name, and for some reason traditionally used in Jewish communities.Diletta is what Bonnie is named in the translation of "Gone with the Wind".

Mattia is becoming more fashionable than Matteo.Asia probably is becoming popular because of Asia Argento. Why are you surprised by Francesco's popularity? It's the name of our patron saint after all...Mia feels odd to me, I'm surprised it 's catching on because it feels like being named "mine"."We have to live without sympathy, don't we? That's impossible of course. We act it to one another, all this hardness; but we aren't like that really, I mean...one can't be out in the cold all the time; one has to come in from the cold...d'you see what I mean?”
