Not at all. Many Mexican-Americans who were born in the US have English first names, so it wouldn't be weird at all. Some Mexicans in the southwestern US have been living there for hundreds of years, and even many of the ones that immigrated later have been living in the US for generations. Heck, many of them don't even speak Spanish!
