Eh, I don't really care for this name, to be honest. Sure, it does give off this image and connotation that you brought up, but it doesn't change my eh-ness. I dare say as well that it feels a bit stereotypical to me.
If I were to choose a Japanese name that is flower-related, I could take many different paths with this.
