In an English speaking context, it's hard to tell how to pronounce it. You'd get Lair. You'd get
Larry. You'd get Layer. You'd get Leer. So while I think it looks and sounds pleasing, I wouldn't recommend it if used in this context, and I couldn't really speak to a different one.
While I'm never a fan of spelling changes, especially to this extent, spelling word names differently is worst of all. It doesn't look at all creative, just like you can't spell. Tragic. This spelling also makes me think "Philistine," which isn't the most positive association.
