I might assume it was a lnfn after someone's great great great grandfather who robbed a bank or was held hostage. Or after a Randolph but they wanted to avoid Randy, idk.

I know a dude whose surname is Ransom.
I also have a college friend whose nephew is named Haz ard (no space) which was a family surname for them. Seriously!
