What other Japanese names have been adopted by black Americans? How do you know it's "in fact inspired by the Japanese name"?

I don't know, that's why I asked "If", it could be inspired by another unrelated name.

Kenji is an example, I've seen it used on black males.

Well, Akira and Tamiko are also traditional Japanese names that have been used by black Americans, mainly given to females.
