I've met a couple of women named Reyes (Spanish both of them), and the name didn't look weird. In fact, it would be even more strange for me to see it on a man. Before I met them, I had always though that it was too surnamey, but now I've realised it only is when you think about it on its own. Once you see it with a surname and associated to a person, it becomes a not-so-bad name.

Still, Reyes is not a name that I particularly like or would use.
