It makes no sense, since Beau is a masculine word, and thus, it should be only masculine. It's like using Esmé on a girl - it should be Esmée.
However, Bea is fine, but I only like it as a nickname for Beatrice / Beatrix. Belle would be best, if you want to keep the meaning.
