Lara is pretty--even if the sound is a bit trendy, the name has history (and romance! Dr. Zhivago, yes!) and substance. And Lari is pretty much the cutest nickname ever. A good replacement for the unusable Miri. ;)
I think Lara has enough weight to hold her own with Miriam. They're each strong; they just express their strength in different sounds, y'know? :)
Personally, I think you should be able to use Emma and Faith, provided they wouldn't be mixed up with their cousins. However, if the triplets' mother is as high-strung as you've implied, the opinions of her and your brother are probably more important than mine, lol.
