It looks and sounds made up to me, rather like McAnnie or Macannie (which would be "son of Annie" to me, although of course it wouldn't be a real Irish name). I'd be of course willing to be corrected. Otherwise it's nmsaa, it's just another kre8iv Mac-/Mc-/Mak- name for a girl.

I found the name on DeviantART, it was the username of someone there. I instantly liked it, and after some search I found out it was a real name and I just wondered what other people thought of it. :)
Actually, Makani is a real name. It is not made-up or a kre8iv Mc/Mac/Mak- name. Makani is a Hawaiian name that means wind and it is pronounced Mah-kah-nee.
