I read *The Red Tent* a few years back when it first came out. Couldn't put it down -- it was an absolutely riveting story. Reviewers have said that *The Red Tent* is what the Bible might have been like if it had been written by women.
Not just women, but Judeo-pagans (HELLO, PHYLLIS!) would appreciate this book.
