Yep, inflexibility is right up there with excess as the mother of all evils, along with all those other evils you mentioned -- especially a lack of humor.
Which, in essence, can all be summed up in a single, definitive word:
"Uncoolness".
Uncoolness, therefore, is "the root of all evil." :)
