[Opinions] Verda
OK, I was absolutely certain Verda was a name. I'm pretty sure I've known of multiple people with that name, usually older ladies, often called "Verdie."
I just looked to see what BtN had to say about it, and it isn't listed in the database!
Has anyone heard this name, and what do you think of it in any case? I like it, but I have a particular horror of made-up names, so now I don't know what to do.

I believe Verda is a Latin name meaning "young fresh."

Don't worry, there are lots of real names that aren't in the database! Although I'm not sure where this one comes from lol. It looks like it might be a combination of Vera with the word verdant (www.answers.com/verdant) or something like that. I can't say for sure!
