Jamie Griffin and Anouk Bisset met when Anouk was a French exchange student in the US four years ago. Jamie's uncle and aunt were Anouk's host family, and they met at Thanksgiving. They started dating by Christmas. After the year was over, Anouk went back home, leaving Jamie behind. But it's a small world, and Jamie and Anouk met again in university. They got married shortly after they met again. They live in the town Jamie grew up in and want to start a family as soon as possible.

The house belonged to Jamie's great-aunt Ethel for a very long time. She has now moved to a retirement home and Jamie inherited the house. It is a lovely old place in a small town.
