It's pretty rare over here (Britain). I always associate it with African-Americans as I gather from my name books it is a popular name in that community along with similar names like Latasha and Latisha (which I have seen in Britain). I've also heard Keisha used.

I love the sound of it, I think it's pretty. I'd never use it but I did name one of my punctuation pets Lakeisha (along with Tanisha and Ayesha).
