Well, I pronounce Niobe as "NIE-uh-bee," so I couldn't put
Violet next to it with another long "i" sound.
I love all three,
Violet,
Violette and
Violetta. I recently fell for
Violette because it's the name of a hip clothing store near my work. It just struck me as a chic little powerhouse of a name.
Violetta (I prefer the Italian spelling) is sooooo romantic. Given the right fn it could sound lovely. But Niobe strikes me as too "non-nonsense" for dreamy
Violetta.
Niobe
Violette is my choice.
P.S. I also like
Viola ("VIE-uh-luh"), but not with Niobe, obviously.
