[Opinions] Re: Omega
in reply to a message by Allibeth
I think of it as a girl's name. I only think of the Greek letter and the phrase "I am the Alpha and the Omega." I believe this is in reference to God? I'm not sure but it always pops into my head whenever I hear either Alpha or Omega. I don't think its horrible, just not good. It would be a good character name I think, but I don't think I like it for a real human.
But I disagree that it would be a trashy girl. She would have had to get her name from somewhere, meaning the parents would probably know the history of the name before naming her. I can see artsy, hippie type people naming their child Omega before I see some trailer trash hearing it and thinking "Oh, that sounds purdy!"

Yes, that's right
I also have this connection.
There are several references in the New Testament book of Revelation.
Most are phrased like this: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending..."
One is phrased like this: "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last..."

Oh okay, I thought it was from the Bible but I wasn't sure! Thanks!
