The Michaela spelling may have gone out of fashion a bit, but I think that if you add up all of the different spellings, it's still very trendy.
I don't mind Michaela, except that I hear mih-CHAY-eh-luh in my head because my brain is weird, and that interferes with the actual mih-KAY-luh pronunciation.
People are going to slap me for this, but I actually prefer Mikayla these days. *ducks*
