I love Rose for its simplicity. While it is overly used as a mn, as a fn it is refreshing. The nn Rosie is adorable and spunky.
But I must give preference to Rosamund. She's an underdog. So few people will understand or find beauty in the "-mund" ending. But I love how romantic and historic Rosamund is. I'm transported back to the court of Henry II of England and his mistress Rosamund Clifford. (Poor Eleanor of Acquitaine.) I just love names that can do that.
Why does Rosa not get any attention? She seems to be one of the most overly looked "rose" names out there. Just saying . . . .

Rosa, along with Isabella, always brings to my mind the image of an overweight, dark-haired, middle-aged woman with a mustache. Funny how one little syllable can make a difference.
