I met one little girl named
Savannah at my daughter's 6th birthday party 7 years ago. She was either 6 or a little younger since I can't remember if she was the classmate or the classmate's sister. All I remember is she had a sister named
Marina, and her mother said, "One by land, one by sea!" I remember thinking that the names were nice, but the little catch phrase was tacky.
The only other
Savannah I have known of is a very famous porn star. For me, that ruins it. I do think it is a trendy name, yet it is a nice name. It has gotten really popular lately, but it's at 112, and I'm considering #116 right now to use. My daughter's name was 267 the year she was born and it's 102 now! Gross.
I would say that if you have never heard of the porn star, then don't worry about the popularity or trendiness. That woman I speak of is pretty famous, but it's not like say,
Madonna, which would be a great name if not for the pop star. It is very possible to hear
Savannah without thinking of the celebrity whereas it is literally impossible to think of
Madonna without thinking of that celebrity.
Sad, since we ought to think of the Virgin
Mary. ha
