I love the picture you have with it, but I'm having trouble making that work with Etta for myself! It seems like such an abrupt name, like someone cut off mid-sentence. I get the jazz-age vibe that you have from names like Ella, Stella and Edie, but Etta is not working for me.

Regardless, Etta Frances is a very sharp combo - my favourite of those up there, and I'm not even a Frances-lover!

Very nice. I really like it. I don't like it enough to use myself, lest it be a pet name or nickname for Loretta, but I'd love for someone to use it.

I like it as a nickname but not as a full name. I like the combos Etta Catherine and Etta Magdalene.

I love Etta too. It reminds me a lot of Ella in that both names are short, sweet, and old-fashioned. It is definitely primed to make a comeback. Etta Catherine, Etta Frances, and Etta Guinevere (my favorite; so whimsical!) are your best combos, but they're all good.

It's pronounced the same as ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna), the Basque separatist terrorist group, so I don't like it. Nasty associations.

I'd go for Etta Caroline.
