I don't think it is bad, with the abundance of Genevas, Londons, Parises, Florences, Montanas, Dakotas, and maybe even the occasional Vienna.
I think I'd rather hear a Zurich than any of those, though I do like Geneva.

I mean if you like it you like it, but you have to be aware that other people are going to put them in the same group as Geneva and London and Paris and Florence and Montana and Dakota and Vienna.

GP only?
I think it is a nice GP but I'd hesitate to use a non-English city with English pronunciation as a given name. To the residents of Zurich/Zürich, the child's name would sound mispronounced.

Yes, it is a GP. To anglofy and be less suggestive of the city, you could always drop the h. Zuric.
