I adore Athena. I've also heard Athena being Athene. I love both, really. I do think it is quite connected to Greek mythology, but never before have I considered it for only someone with at least a bit of Greek heritage. It is gorgeous.

I'm not sure, I don't know them personally. I just overheard them being called :)
Athena is a pretty name. I don't think you have to be Greek to use it. I went to school with someone who had a niece named Athena, and they weren't Greek.

I adore Athena! I think it's got a great history and I love the connection to wisdom and knowledge. I don't have any Greek heritage and I wouldn't have a problem with using it.
I know two Athenas in the fourth grade, and the only Greek people I can think of in the area are a tv weatherman and his family. The nn of one is Tina. I think it's usable.
