Hi A,
in Scandinavia, Tove (and
Tova
) are modern short forms of Old Norse names like Torfrid and Torvor.
The pronunciation is:
TOO-veh / TOO-vah (in Sweden and Norway) (oo like in "fool")
TOH-veh / TOH-va (in Denmark)
