My mother does have two surnames but she's German. She got married and took his name and her maiden name! So her Name is RENATE SIEBLITZ-OBERMEIER...:)
Here in Germany it's not allowed to give your children two surnames!
Just imagine they would marry someone who also has 2 surnames but want to keep their name...then you have 4! So it's not allowed here.
